For short-term treatment of acute malaria, adverse effects can include abdominal cramps, diarrhea, heart problems, reduced appetite, headache, nausea and vomiting.

    Can you quit plaquenil cold turkey, or have to wean Mar 18, 2011 Need to know have any of you stopped plaq after about 7 weeks? Can you just stop or need to wean like prednisone. I just started reading about things you should call your doctor about when you take plaq when I saw posts on here about not being allowed alcohol. I had to find this on the paper that came with it and it was really hard to find.
