    Ive been on Plaquenil for about a year with no side effects that i know of. Today the pharmacy gave me Quinoric instead. Oct 14, 2007 My 7 year old daughter has been on Plaquenil for almost 2 years now. It is considered a disease modifying drug, but not an immunosuppressant. My daughter has never complained of fatigue or stiffness, but that might be because we caught the disease early on, and the medication has prevented it from the start. I was on Plaquenil for over a year with my Limited Systemic Sclerosis and didn't notice any effect, scleroderma still progressing. Then I was prescribed Imuran, but had to stop taking it after 10 tabs because of fever and aching body all over. I believed so much it will help. I took it for a light in the darkness.
